Ok lets get this out there straightaway. We think this has the best teacakes we have tasted in all the cafes we have visited. Generous size, good thickness and plenty of fruit. Comes with butter and jam and the added benefit of it being served on a chunky piece of wood for the true artisan feel. The coffee is very good, served in a variety of colourful cups and saucers and you get a generous jug of milk to boot. The service is spot on and at least during COVID times, is all table service including paying. The staff are very friendly and cannot be faulted. There is plenty of inside and outside seating and we have never had trouble getting a seat. Easingwold like York, is awash with coffee shops, (although interestingly Costa did not survive more than a year or so), but at the time of writing we think this one is the best. There is good “shove your wheel” into a slot cycle parking, although this can be difficult to navigate at times. All in all a great place to stop and a lovely spot to allow you to explore the surrounding area.
