The Mile Cafe & Farm Shop - Pocklington

Last visited: June 18th, 2022

Editor update. We’ve been a few times since the review below and little has changed. A great cafe stop for cyclists, both summer and winter. Certainly amongst our favourites when we are out this way.

It’s been a while since we visited the Mile farm shop cafe just outside Pocklington. It used to be a firm favourite, but for some reason, which is now lost in the mists of time, we fell out of love with it. Well it is time to put that right. The farm shop has enjoyed a bit of a revamp, the inside cafe is now much more spacious and the outside seating much better. There are some shaded tables under the roof space and your standard bench tables outside. The outside space is very bike friendly (although be careful as you come off the road into the car park as it is very loose and gravelly), with designated bike hoops and plenty of seats. The service is super quick, we had 5 teacakes and coffee within 5 mins or ordering, and at just £16 you’ll be pushed to find it cheaper. Cake selection looks good (they do a fruit cake with cheese which looks and tastes great), and plenty of other breakfast and sandwich options and the service is faultless and friendly. All in all a very good cycle friendly cafe.
