No cycling holiday would be complete without a visit (or two), to the much loved iconic Repsol Garage Cafe. Much improved from the last time we came is 2019, you should really not miss it. It is hugely popular right at the top of the Col de la Batalla and on your way to Sa Calabra ( a must do climb at least once in your lifetime and surely one of the most picturesque climbs in Europe). The food is varied and reasonably priced, they do an excellent pizza, which comes out really quickly and the cakes and sandwiches are great. We had cold drinks this time, but from memory the coffee was good. They do not stand on ceremony with the service and their ordering and service can be a bit chaotic, but that is part of the charm. As you would expect they are set up for cyclist, with saddle hanging storage, a range of tools for fixing any bike issues and free E-bike charging which was great. There are a few routes to get you here all of which have great road surfaces and fantastic views, if you are not too tired with the climb to lift your head and look. All in all a great cafe to get to, sit and recover and continue your ride.
