This is never going to win any awards for its café seating, which is very limited both indoor and outside. However, the outdoor seating area whilst small and a little cramped, is covered and we have never had problems getting a seat. However, if you are a large groups you would struggle. Bike facilities are limited, you can lean your bike against the wall nearby and keep an eye on it. They have a great selection of reasonably priced cakes and produce a decent teacake and cup of coffee, although at the time of writing this all comes in COVID-friendly cardboard, which is fine. Just be aware that the butter for the teacake can be a little difficult to spread!!It has a great selection of other cycling friendly, grab and go stuff, including sausage rolls etc. The staff are friendly and efficient and the orders come out pretty quickly. If you are larger group you can get takeaway and sit opposite on the steps of the old Town Hall. A good coffee stop for refueling before you tackle some of the nearby climbs.

We have now concluded that the Teacakes are the best we have tasted. They are substantial, very fruity and as long as you can get past the “cardboard box presentation”and the takeaway coffee cups then you are onto a winner. Sadly the outdoor seating area, which they cannot do much about let’s them down.
